Happy Thursday

Happy Thursday dumplings, Miss Hammie has been a little busy. I’ve been trying to come up with a layout that will let me do my New Year’s card the way I want to. I mean the way I want to do it only allows for one card per piece of cardstock and that just doesn’t work for Miss Hammie.  To complicate my conundrum my sister’s birthday is Saturday so I need to come up with a design for that as well. I did a prototype of the New Year’s card, still not overjoyed with it, but I like it.  I think the people I send it to will like it and let’s get real, that’s what matters.  Truthfully dumplings Miss Hammie’s never entirely satisfied with what she creates. My New Year’s card is being created with products  from both the Holiday and Annual catalogs.  Afraid that’s all the information you’re getting from me.  This blog post is about Miss Hammie’s sister’s birthday card. Don’t ask me which birthday because, quite honestly, I don’t know, haven’t a clue. Before my nephew and my daughters were born I could have told you practically down to the minute. However Miss Hammie and both her sisters all slipped several notches on the remembering your birthday and age scale as each new member was added to the family. There have been four members added since my sister was born. Anywho I’m going to give you a sneaky peeky of a product from the Occasions catalog.  Sooo, consider that your consolation prize.

So, moving right along here’s a rundown of what I used and did. The card base is made from Whisper White Thick cardstock. It was cute to 51/2 x 81/2 and scored at 41/4.  I layered a piece of dsp from the Merry Little Christmas dsp pack that was cut to 51/4 x 4. Over that I layered a piece of regular Whisper White cardstock that was cut to  5 x 33/4. From the new Occasions catalog I used the Bubble Over bundle. That’s the Bubble Over stamp set and the Bottles and Bubbles framelits dies, if purchased together you save 10% over what you would spend if you purchased them separately. I used the smaller bottle die to cut out two bottles from Old Olive cardstock using the Big Shot die cutting and embossing machine, it’s in the Annual catalog and a must have tool. I also used dies from the bundle to cut labels for the bottles from Gold Glimmer paper. I added a little flourish to the labels using two smaller dies. The labels were attached using Snail adhesive. The bottles were attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment, which was stamped in Stampin’ Up’s Old Olive ink, is from the Bubble Over stamp set.  Inside is a little something private from Miss Hammie to her younger sister. Once again I’m not 100% satisfied, but I believe my sister will like it. So here it is.

Okay now for the part of the post we all love. TFB – Time For Business

The End of Year Sale ends in 3 days, on January 2, 2018. There are still bargains to be had and once it’s over the Retiring Items are gone forever. Some of the best bundles are on the list, if they have 3 asterisks that means the products are only going to be sold separately so bye bye 10% discount. I used one of those bundles for this year’s Christmas card. Miss Hammie would like to suggest strongly that you not miss any possible savings.  While you’re in my online store checking the End of Year Sale check out the Clearance Rack, it was recently restocked and trust Miss Hammie there are bargains there as well.  Alrighty now, let me think, End of Year Sale check, Clearance Rack check. Now there was something else, oh yes how could I have forgotten. Too much coquito probably, it sort of a Caribbean egg nog, with rum and quite tasty. However I digress, the Stamparatus is what I forgot to mention and I must ask for your forgiveness as I’ve gotten my dates confused. The reservation window for the Stamparatus closes on Saturday December 30, 2017. After Saturday you won’t be able to order this awesome positioning tool until June. Even if you own a positioning tool reserve a Stamparatus because there isn’t one on the market that’s as good as this one. There are videos on YouTube, watch them and see the awesomeness that is the Stamparatus. Once you see it you’re going to want it. So check it out before Saturday or you’re going to seriously regret it. Also you’re not charged until they have yours ready to ship which will probably be in March.
