Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes will be inspired by popular songs – the first is “I Think I Love You.” Our Blog Hop today is jam-packed with projects that are perfect for Valentine’s Day or that showcase love. How sweet is that?! We are excited to share our love-themed creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
The theme for this month’s blog hop is “I Think I Love You”. Miss Hammie wonders my precious dumplings why would one just think they love someone? Could it be because they feel that the other person is someone they’re well matched with? Could be if you weren’t positive, then you would simply say you think. Anywho, most probably if you think you’re in love you also think that together you two are a good match. And that’s what inspired my card, being a good match or pair.
What I Used:
Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White cardstock. Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper. Old Olive and Delightful Dijon ink. The Fruit Basket stamp set. The pear punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. The Stampin’ Trimmer, the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies, the Big Shot, Snail adhesive, and Dimensionals.
My cardbase was made from Old Olive cardstock cut at 81/2”x 51/2” and scored at 41/4”. I used snail adhesive to attach a 5”x 33/4” piece of Tutti-frutti dsp to a 51/4” x 4” piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Then I attached the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to my cardbase with dimensionals.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped two pears first doing the outline and stem in Delightful Dijon then the body of the pears in Old Olive. Then I fussy cut the pears. On another piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment. Using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies and the Big Shot I cut out the sentiment. Then I attached the pears using mini-dimensionals. I attached the oval to the front of the card using dimensionals. I’m really pleased with how it turned out my dumplings and I think you will be too. So take a look and be sure to let me know what you think.

I really like this, Miss Hammie! So many of my “love” theme cards are too mushy for masculine recipients, this one is perfect!

It is wonderful! I too struggle with LOVE cards – I do great with punny ones, but romantic, ugh, just not me!
