Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around SPRING. Spring is a special time of year – it’s fun to celebrate the beauty of nature and to get back outside during this transition of the seasons. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Hello my sweet dumplings, well it’s time for another Blog Hop and this month’s theme is Spring. Now what does the word Spring make you think of ? To be perfectly honest if you live where Miss Hammie lives, or in that general vicinity, Spring means itchy eyes and sniffles caused by pollen. Now if Miss Hammie let’s her more positive side rear it’s happy go lucky head you hear things like “Well what’s a little pollen if in exchange you get beautiful trees and flowers ?” Well it’s trips to Walgreens for Allergy meds. Dumplings excuse me that yellow stuff has made it impossible to wear my contacts and my eyes feel like there’s sand in them practically 24 – 7 ! However I digress, you want to know about my card for the Blog Hop.  Here’s a list of the products that I used.

Thick Whisper White cardstock – cut to 51/2 x 41/4 for my card base

Powder Pink cardstock – cut to 51/4 x 4 for the first layer

A piece of Garden Impressions dsp – cut to 5 x 33/4 for my second layer

Layering Oval dies, and the Big Shot – I used one of the scalloped dies to cut a piece of Powder Pink cardstock to act as a backing for a plain oval of Whisper White cardstock that I used for my sentiment.

Speaking of the sentiment it is from the Varied Vases stamp set and was stamp with Memento Black ink.

I adhered the dsp layer to the Powder Pink cardstock layer using Snail adhesive. The Powder Pink oval was also adhered using Snail the Whisper White oval was adhered using Stampin Dimensionals. The completed layers and sentiment were adhered to the card base using Stampin Dimensionals.  I think it’s quite Spring-ish including the sentiment. I hope you agree and that you’ll leave a comment.

  3. Beautiful card, Robbye! My eyes are scratchy, too, and I’m not even allergic to pollen. But when there’s so much of it, you’re right, it’s like sand in your eyes.

  4. I have no voice today from all the grass pollen. Kinda made my Starbucks drive thru run a bit challenging…especially with my crazy coffee order. But it is an amazing spring so I will deal. Love your card!

  12. I thought of you today! I went to a drug store to pick up a card and this one card looked like a child made it! They cut a piece of paper, wrote on it and stuck it on the front of the card and it was crooked! Then they wanted $3.99 for it. Your cards put theirs to shame!!!
