Hello my sweet sugar dumplings, it is time for another Blog Hop. I have a question, can I share a secret with you? I would be willing to bet that everyone that comes to visit my  blog during this Blog Hop has great stories to tell about Halloween when they were children. Here’s my secret, I don’t have any great Halloween tales to tell because believe or not I can not remember one Halloween when I was a child that I didn’t get sick a day or two before Halloween and could not go Trick or Treating with my older sister. She would always ask for extra candy for her “baby” sister who was at home sick. Now before you think how sweet and considerate, she would give me one candy bar and keep the rest for herself. But enough about my unfortunate Halloween memories and on to my idea of spooky. I’ll confess my family isn’t big on Halloween, never has been. Our neighborhood organization holds an event each year that I donate treats to. So when I turn out the lights and pretend I’m not home my conscience is clear. That being said the Halloween stamp sets aren’t high on my list of “must haves” which made this month’s blog hop a wee bit of a challenge. I wracked my brain to come up with something “Spooky”. I decided to go with traditional Halloween symbols that corresponded to current items that I had and came up with this card.

I used three colors of card stock, Basic Black, Smokey Slate and Whisper White. My card base was made with Basic Black that I layered with the Smokey Slate and Whisper White. I used Whisper White card stock and my 2 inch circle punch to create the “spooky” crescent moon and the cat punch to create the cat that you see against the moon. I created a “window” for the cat to sit in and look at the crescent moon using the Rectangle Stitched dies.

Another tool that I used was the new Stampin’ Trimmer (I LOVE it and suggest strongly that you purchase it). I also used TomBow liquid glue and black dimensionals.
