InKing Royalty Blog Hop

6BF775B9-B804-441D-8575-FB03B10505E4Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around CHRISTMAS. It’s a wonderful time of year, and we are having lots of fun with our Christmas-themed projects. We are so excited to share them with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Hello my dumplings and Happy Holidays to each and every one of you.  It’s that time again, Blog Hop time. The theme? I’ll give you one guess . . . that’s right Christmas. Such smart little dumplings, you make Miss Hammie so proud.  I decided to try something a teeny bit different for this blog hop, so you’ll have to leave a comment and tell me what you think.

I used several items from the Christmastime is Here Suite. Those included:

3 of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots

Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper

Christmastime Rose Stamp Set

Roses Dies

I also used:

Watercolor Paper

Old Olive Card stock

Tombow Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue

Big Shot Die Cutting Machine

Gold colored 5” x 7” picture frame

I cut the watercolor paper to 5”x7”.  I layered a piece of designer series paper that I cut to 4.5”x6” onto the watercolor paper, that served as my background. Using one of the Roses dies and the Big Shot I cut out one of the large roses from a piece of designer series paper. I wanted to add a little thickness so I use the same die to cut out a rose using Old Olive card stock. I adhered it to the back of the DSP rose using liquid glue. I placed this in the center of my background piece.
Using a label die from the Roses die set and a scrap of the watercolor paper I created a label that I stamped my sentiment on. The sentiment is in the Christmas Rose stamp set.
I used watercolor paper because I like the texture, but you could just as easily use Whisper White Card stock.
