Hello and happy Tuesday dumplings, did you miss me? After Miss Hammie’s visit with her Older Daughter and dealing with the snow I was totally worn out. I decided that I would just be lazy for a while. I was also anxiously waiting for an order from Stampin’ Up. It arrived, as did my December Paper Pumpkin. While that was making me do my happy dance a single thought brought that to a screeching halt. I’m know what you’re thinking, “What thought Miss Hammie?”. Well I’m going to tell you what thought, Christmas cards. I hadn’t even tried to think of a Christmas card layout, much less asked for addresses. Every single year, well not every year but quite a few, I procrastinate. Well, the cards are D. O. N. E. , done. They’re going in the mail tomorrow and anyone I miss, well you’re getting a New Year’s card. I’m starting on those tomorrow, layout courtesy of Tami White, thank you Tami.
Now an explanation, since some of the people getting a card from me follow my blog I won’t be posting photos of my Christmas or New Year’s cards until after January 1, 2018.
Moving on to Stampin’ Up news. There are great new items on the Clearance Rack, be sure and check those out. The Year End Sale continues and the reservation window for the Stamparatus remains open until December 30, 2017.
As you may or may not know I am part of the InKing Royalty team. The “captain” of the team is Stampin’ Up demonstrator extraordinaire Brian King. The team periodically has a blog hop which I’ve participated in previously. Well it’s blog hop time again and I would love for you to come back tomorrow and check out the projects created by my super talented team mates. You’ll be blown away by their creativity with paper and ink. Hopefully you’ll give me a thumb’s up on my project. Take care my dumpling I’ll see you tomorrow so TTFN
Happy Tuesday dumplings, before you start talking, yes Miss Hammie knows she didn’t post yesterday. Now I’m going to share something with you, Miss Hammie won’t be posting for about a week following today’s post. I can almost hear you, sounding like Cindy Lou Who “Why Miss Hammie Why?”. Well here’s the thing, Miss Hammie has two daughters, let’s just call them Miss Hammie’s Older Daughter and Miss Hammie’s Younger Daughter. Well, Older is coming for a visit, side note Older, Younger and Miss Hammie’s Niece all live on the West Coast so we don’t see each other as often as say children who don’t move far from home and their parental unit. Now Older has been living in Australia for the last year and a half and Miss Hammie has only seen her once. So dumplings I’m going to be spending as much time with her as I can so no posting. Plus there the matter of Miss Hammie’s Christmas cards that she hasn’t even started making, gifts to purchase/make whatever. Anywho that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Now on to
After the first attempt at taking reservation for this awesome stamp positioning tool ended after 15 minutes Stampin’ Up decided to approach it differently during the second reservation window. Before they only took a certain number of reservations. This time they’re just going to take them for the entire time allotted for reservations. As I’ve told you before there are other positioning tools, but this one is the best one I’ve seen. Stampin’ Up talked to demonstrators and used their input to make sure any shortcomings demonstrators felt other tools had wouldn’t be present in the Stamparatus. The reservation window opens at 2:00 PM MT. Take care dumplings, oops almost forgot. The Year-End Sale is in full effect. The list of Retiring and Surplus Items that are on sale now can be found by going to my online store and clicking, of all things, SHOP. Believe it or not there’s still time to get that stamp set you wanted to make your holiday cards (even though you’re cutting it close, but you can always blame the Post Office, just kidding). Simply go to http://rwhamilton.stampinup.net and click SHOP and check out what’s available. Some of it is while supplies last so don’t drag your heels. So smooches and TTFN
As I mentioned yesterday Stampin’ Up is having its annual Year-End Sales Event and it started today. You can go to my online store to check out what’s available. Miss Hammie hasn’t had a chance to really check it out because she’s been glistening (ladies never sweat, they glisten) bullets over the new Occasions catalog. As I also told you in yesterday’s News Alert, demonstrators, like Miss Hammie, get to order early from new catalogs. Between the sale items, the new Occasions catalog items and the Sale-a-Bration items I can earn Miss Hammie is having to beat back her inner Veruca Salt with a piece of rebar, google it dumplings Miss Hammie is in a “I just can’t, not one more thing” mood. If you are one of Miss Hammie’s dumplings from “back in the day” you know that means “Tread lightly, she’s about to blow”. I know three things that I really, really want. Then there are four that I just really want. Oh why lie, I WANT IT ALL AND I WANT IT NOW!!! Down Veruca, down girl, remember we need to get holiday gifts for the family. I apologize, but I really need to get my inner egomaniacal shopaholic under control right now. If you go to my online store you can see a listing, as well as photos of the Year-End Sale items. Let me add this, as my inner Veruca tries to make me rationalize spending Christmas gift money. Some of these items are carrying over into the upcoming annual catalog, while others are going away never to be seen again when supplies run out. There are items that are bundles now, you save 10% when you buy bundled products, that are carrying over, but not as bundles so bye bye 10% discount. I’ve shown you two adorable cards using Smitten Mittens, it’s on the list, just saying. So, go to my online store and just check out what’s available. If you decide to make a purchase use this hostess code FV6MXXK9. My online store is http://rwhamilton.stampinup.net
Also the last Smitten Mittens project will be posted tomorrow after I let Veruca spend some money she’ll be pacified . . . at least for a while
Happy Monday dumplings, here’s hoping you had a wonderful weekend and since today is Free Shipping & Handling I thought I would share a bundle that needs to be on your wish list. Actually I’m so smittened with this bundle that I think it should be a part of your order, you know the one with no S&H charges, today. While you might think it’s just for the holiday season, this bundle has winter written all over it. I’m so in love with it that I’ll be using it for projects all week. However do not wait until you have seen them all to order this bundle, do it today and save $$$.
I know what you’re saying, “But Miss Hammie you haven’t told us what bundle it is”. How many clues do you need dumplings? You can’t still be reacting to that tryptophan in turkey. I could only be referring to Smitten Mittens. I know, I know I put it on my “It can Wait” list too, but alas, I must admit I was wrong, wrong I say. This bundle is all that and the proverbial bag of chips. Today’s project is a card that showcases the coordinating dies as well as the adorable stamp set. I’m quite pleased with it and I’m positive you’re going to love it as well.
The materials I used were:
Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base which I layered with a piece of dsp from the Quilted Christmas paper stack. I used Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Smitten Mittens stamp set.
By the way my dumplings don’t forget when you place your orders today, orders that have no shipping and handling, use the Hostess Code FV6MXXK9
Happy Black Friday dumplings. Miss Hammie has her fingers crossed that rather than ruining family time yesterday by dashing out to shop when many stores opened at 6:00pm you enjoyed time with your family. Or at the very least shopped online and pretended to listen to your Uncle Raymond tell that story he’s told every Thanksgiving for as long as you can remember. I also hope that if you were spending the holiday with loved ones who worked their fingers to the bone (figure of speech dumplings stop looking shocked) to prepare a great meal you arrived on time and hungry or whipped out your cellie and called if you were delayed.
Now time for the awful truth. Miss Hammie doesn’t have a project today. After the sweet potato pie, the Meyer lemon pound cake, the cornbread dressing, the macaroni and cheese, the rice with broccoli and cheese sauce, the corn muffins, the pork tenderloin, and the collard greens I was pooped. Yes dumplings I prepared all of that yesterday morning. Call it a character flaw, a mental defect, call it whatever you want Miss Hammie likes to serve Thanksgiving dinner hot, not reheated. It’s bizarre because it’s only holidays when I get so weird. Top that off with fighting the Veruca Salt that I become around new gadgets. Miss Hammie might not want a party, but that Echo Show, she’s singing I want it now loud and clear. Confused? It’s a Willy Wonka /Charlie & the Chocolate Factory reference. So between cooking and wrestling with the tech gadget demon that exist within me, plus catching up on a guilty pleasure called Lucifer, don’t judge me it’s funny, I just didn’t get to today’s project. I would promise to do better, but the holiday season is upon us and it poses a myriad of issues I’m not even going to scratch the surface of. Please trust Miss Hammie dumplings you do not want to go there. However moving right along how many of you have taken advantage of, drumroll please
It isn’t going to last forever and there are items discounted as much as 40% !!! Trust me you do not want to miss this.
So have a great weekend, don’t overspend, make sure to check out the saving at the Online Extravaganza Making sure to use the special hostess code, FV6MXXK9.
Until tomorrow TTFN
Happy Wednesday dumplings, it’s time for another box. I case’d this one from another demonstrator who loves to create 3-D projects, San Hammond aka Pootles of Pootles Papercraft fame. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam several years ago on my first, and so far only, trip to Salt Lake City. That’s trip was so memorable and I promise Miss Hammie will tell you all about it another time. However as often happens I digress, lol. This box is super easy to make using our versatile Envelope Punch Board. Just let me tell you in a vernacular that makes this former teacher’s teeth grind (not really, dramatic effect) “This baby ain’t just for makin’ envelopes”. You can do so much more than just envelopes, but today it’s about a darling little box. Here’s what you need. A 6”x6” piece of paper. I used dsp from the Quilted Christmas paper stack. The Envelope Punch Board, paper snips and adhesive. I used snail. You might prefer Fast Fuse or Tear ‘n Tape. It depends on the weight of the paper and what you plan to put inside the box. Since candy lasts around Miss Hammie’s house about as long as an ice cube would in the Sahara Desert, I will have to guesstimate. You could probably fit 4 or 5 Hershey’s nuggets, or a small piece of jewelry in this box.
Step 1. You line the paper up at 1 1/2” punch and score , shift the paper over to 3” punch and score then shift the paper again until the end is about 1/16th of an inch over the edge and score. Step 2. Turn the paper 90 degrees and line up the little pointer, Miss Hammie calls it a little beak, with the score lines you previously made punch and score. Repeat Steps 1 & 2. As with most boxes you need to create tabs to help hold it together. Let’s see where those are.
Put adhesive on the tabs. That long piece willattach to the tabs creating the side of the box. You’ll repeat this on the other side.
The end results? These adorable little boxes
Don’t forget the awesome sale that’s going on now it’s annnn
DO NOT MISS THIS THE SAVINGS ARE
Hello dumplings, here’s hoping Tuesday finds you in good spirits. Miss Hammie promised that she would keep you up to date on the items available as part of Stampin’ Up’s Online Extravaganza. I try very hard to keep my promises periodically it doesn’t work out, but this isn’t one of those times. I have yet another list to share with you of things that are available at a savings to you. This is a list of products that will be available all week, with one exception. The Paper Pumpkin kits and refills are only available while supplies last and Miss Hammie thinks that they are probably limited. A few of the other items might be as well and if they are Miss Hammie will definitely let you know. I wouldn’t want you longing and waiting to long to order a product and missing out. Please remember to use this Hostess Code when ordering FV6MXXK9.
Now my dumplings here’s the list of goodies for you to choose from. There’s still time to order one or two of the 20% off stamp sets. However those phenomenal bargains disappear at 11:59pm MT so if you snooze you most definitely lose.
