AUTUMN InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around AUTUMN. There is so much to love about the transition from summer to winter, and we are excited to share our Autumn-themed projects with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Hello my sweet sugar dumplings Miss Hammie has a confession to make, I haven’t been doing a lot of crafting lately. I’ve been exploring some new outlets like gardening. I have always felt like gardening and I just didn’t get along. There are bugs and other yucky type things that I don’t particularly care for. However I decided to give it one more try and I am actually enjoying it. I haven’t been particularly successful, but it has been fun. However I decided it was time to get back to crafting which is honestly my first love. That’s not quite true, music is my first love, but when you sing like a cat backed into a corner you tend to settle for listening to music rather than trying to make it. As you all know the Blog Hops this year have centered around a word. This months word is AUTUMN. I have to be honest I don’t really think autumn when its 95 degrees, but We are going to make this work.

For my project I went with the stamp set that I always think of when I hear the words Fall or Autumn. While its not one of our newer stamp set for me Painted Harvest is the epitome of autumn.  It is on page 128 of the Stampin Up Annual catalog. The Designers Series Paper I chose was from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. It is on page 167 of the Stampin’ Up Annual catalog.  I think this card is saying autumn and I hope you feel that way too.

Here’s how I put it together:

I used Old Olive card stock to make my card base. It measures 51/2 in. x 41/4 in. I layered a piece of Crushed Curry card stock that measures 51/4in. x 4in. onto my Old Olive card base. My next layer was the Mosaic Mood dsp, it measures 5in. x 33/4 in. The final layer is Whisper White card stock and it measures 43/4in. x 31/2in. I stamped my image and sentiment on the Whisper White card stock.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jackie Beers at Blue Line Stamping. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

  1. I love that you used this stamp set, Robbye! It’s an “oldie” but definitely a “goodie.” Love the mix of colors, too – Old Olive and Crushed Curry are a classic combination for Fall. ♥
