Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler

InKing Royalty Blog Hop - Let the Good Times Roll

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! This year’s hops are themed around some of our favorite songs. Today’s hop is pulls inspiration from B.B. King’s song “Let the Good Times Roll.” How fun is that?! We’ve created projects that either feature images with wheels (cards, wagons, bikes) or celebrate good times. We are excited to share our projects with you. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

So welcome to a Whirlwind Wednesday my sweet dumplings, now it’s confession time. I’ve only ever been to New Orleans once and never during Mardi Gras, but it was exactly what first came to mind when I heard the theme of the Blog Hop. And while it might sort of dictate color choices if I chose to go that way, it didn’t give me an idea of what type of image. So I was at that “Oh what have I gotten myself into” stage I seem to always visit when I agree to be part of the team Blog Hop. Then the Miss Hammie in me said “Just do it your way” .  So to me this translates to “Let the Good Times Roll”.  Good times translate to lightheartedness and fun.  I’m really happy with it and I think that you’ll be as well.

I used a little bit of everything for this card. I used the stamp sets Bike Ride, and Yay You which are available now and Pick a Pennant which will be available on June 1st. The card base is Real Red cardstock that I layered with dsp from the Tutti-Frutti dsp pack. I stamped on Whisper White card that I brayered with Pool Party ink. I used an Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker to create a grassy field for the bike.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop,

. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Hello my sweet dumplings and I hope that you’re having a Sassy Saturday.  As you know I’ve been away for a bit due to a family commitment. However I am back and we’re going to have a quick conversation about what’s going on with Stampin’ Up color-wise.  Its really rather simple, Stampin’ Up has done a “Color Revamp”. Please note that I said “Revamp” not “Refresh”.  We will be saying Hello to new colors, goodbye to colors we’ve grown accustomed to and welcome back to some old favorites. So in a nut shell:

Smooches and TTFN

Chilly First Friday

I don’t know what’s got Mother Nature in a snit or if someone forgot to tell her, but Spring isn’t suppose to be all Nor’ Easters in the Northern part of the country  and temperatures in the 30’s building to a brisk 63 degrees in Miss Hammie’s hometown of Atlanta. Plus I know without the rain the pretty flowers don’t grown, but thunder storms that turn into tornadoes ???? Come on now Mom, we know that the weather is your thing, but things seem a wee bit off. However enough about her (maybe she needs attention) and on with the it’s hours away from the beginning of the weekend. Do you have any exciting plans for the coming weekend? I did, but with the rainy weekend forecast “you know who” may have called a screeching halt to mine. Miss Hammie had planned to do a little window shopping, literally. Miss Hammie and Miss Hammie Younger Sister had planned to go look at appliances and cabinets on Saturday and to the Atlanta Home Show (get it “window shopping”) on Sunday. The weekend forecast is intermittent showers both days. Not one, but BOTH days, we’ll have to see how that works out. I’ll be sure to let you, my sweet dumplings know how it all turns out. By the by my sweet dumplings would any of you by chance own an all in one washer dryer? I’ve been considering one and would like some information and firsthand impressions.

Today is March 23rd which means that there are only eight more days of Sale-a-Bration.  Here’s a quick visual of what you can get if you place a qualifying order. You dumplings really didn’t think you were going to have two business free days did you? I didn’t have any business references in my Wednesday post, so today is all business and a bit of chatter.

Here are the items that you can choose from if you place a $100.00 order

Supply List

You can take a closer look in my Online Store and I’ll be posting a link to it below
Also lets not forget Paper Pumpkin. Even you none crafties will love Paper Pumpkin if for no other reason than that it’s something that you can do with the kids that doesn’t take forever, roughly 30 minutes and you’re done.  Not only is it a great way to spend a rainy day with them when you can’t take them to the park or to other child friendly places it  helps to spark their, and your, creativity.  Since our special 5th anniversary kit sold out faster than had been anticipated Stampin’ Up is offering a super deal on our monthly subscription crafting kit. If you’re a new subscriber you will get your first two kits at 50% off by simply including the promotional code SAVEFIFTY0418. How simple is that? YOu get two kits for basically the price of one. So you miss a couple of venti’s at Starbucks, you get to either relax doing something that really isn’t stressful unless you make it stressful. I hear you, and I’ve heard you every other time, “But Miss Hammie I’m not crafty”.  Are you as smart as a 14 year old? Do you think if a 14 year old can finish something in say 20 minutes there’s no way you couldn’t do it in 15 minutes? My grand niece loves Paper Pumpkin and has told me she finishes the kits in about 20 minutes. Oh my what’s that I smell, I think its a challenge. Sign up and try it for 2 months if you don’t enjoy it, (and the compliments you get from astounded friends when you say that you made it) simply send an email to Stampin’ Up and say that you want to cancel. Click the link below to subscribe.
Finally, as I stated above Sale-a-Bration ends in 8 days. That means the great 2 free stamps sets bonus ends in 8 days.  Believe me when I say $125.00 worth of Stampin’ Up products for $99.00 is a great deal, but when you can get two extra stamp sets why would you wait until after that promotion ends to join . So I’m going to go thru the why you should join Stampin’ Up list.
  • Great products
  • Camaraderie
  • Discounts on products
  • Various incentives
  • Opportunity to see and order new products first
  • No pressure to sell
  • No penalty if you decide to stop being a demonstrator
I joined for the 20% discount and to be absolutely candid after a while I did quit. However I had become use to the excellent quality of their products and continued to order and use them. One day I sat down and looked at how much I was spending each quarter and realized that I was already just for myself spending enough to meet Stampin’ Up’s quarterly minimums. That meant that if I re-activated I would start to get a discount again on what I had to pay for products.  It didn’t mean all of a sudden I had to start doing workshops or selling to others unless I wanted to, so I re-activated. I have gotten so much more than just great products by being part of Stampin’ Up.  I have a whole new circle of friends that I wouldn’t have if I wasn’t a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. Whether you believe it or not my story isn’t unusual, over 90% of all Stampin’ Up demonstrators don’t do any selling other than to friends or to friends of friends. As a demonstrator I get to attend events with demonstrators from all over the country, in some cases all over the world! We laugh, we craft, we swap cards, we have fun! Next month I’ll be joining other demonstrators at an event here in Atlanta and I can’t wait. Another awesome 3 day event is taking place in November and if you join now you would be able to attend that one. I can’t tell you the cost, but I can tell you the what and the where, OnStage Live in Orlando Florida! There will be demonstrators from all over the world. There are so many wonderful things about being part of Stampin’ Up that it would be impossible for me to tell you all of them so I’m going to stop now.  There will be a link below to join.
One last thing that might not of even crossed your mind, it sure just raced across mine. March is practically over. That means in about a month or so you’re going to start getting those invitations to weddings and graduations. I can only think of two people that are graduating. Want to know what they’ll be receiving? A handmade graduation card/ gift card holder. It will be the type that they can pay for things with. I have no problem saying I have no idea what young people like beyond food, music and entertainment. As far as wedding gifts, ha, ha, ha same thing. A handmade card/gift card from where you’re registered. If you start now you could have wedding and graduation cards done before the invitation hits your mail box. If you need me to show you how just give me a heads up in the comments. Have a great weekend my sweet dumplings and for now I’m out.

Happy Friday

Hello and Happy Friday my sweet dumplings. I have a lovely Thank You card to share today. I have two very special friends that I made matching Thank You cards for because they supported a new endeavor that Miss Hammie has. My card base is Powder Pink. I layered a piece Garden Green cardstock and a piece of the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper, found in the Occasions catalog, onto the card base. I used a sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set (a Sale-a-Bration item, free with a $50.00 order) and stamped it on Whisper White cardstock. Using the Big Shot and  one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies set, found in the Annual catalog, I cut out the sentiment then using the next largest die I cut out an oval of Garden Green and layered the sentiment onto it.  Since both my friends are stampers, and team mates of mine I really wanted them to be extra special. I used mini glue dots to adhere the dsp to the Garden Green layer and Tombow Multi-Purpose glue to adhere the Whisper White oval with the sentiment to the Garden Green oval. The ovals were adhered to the dsp with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Garden Green to the card base. I absolutely love the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series paper, its so Springy. I’m really pleased with these cards and I am sure that you, my sweet dumplings, will like them as well.

Now it’s Business Time

Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st. New items were added and some of them might just surprise you since they were in the Occasions catalog, but TAKE NOTE for Sale-a-Bration the item numbers are different and if you use the wrong one well your order is going to be more than you thought. You can see all the Sale-a-Bration item via my Online store and by now you know that I’ll put a link below. Very soon that link is going to find a permanent home on my blog. Here is something that I wanted to share with you.

The opportunity to play with these little guys is going to be gone on March 31st.

I explained that due to popular demand the March Paper Pumpkin sold out and so new subscribers who didn’t sign up in time to get it were still going to get something special and here it is. Sign up by May 10th and get your first two kits at 50% off. I would suggest signing up by April 10th to be safe and not miss the April kit. Remember you have to be a new subscriber to get this deal (if you didn’t Miss Hammie would be signing up for an additional kit). If you sign up by April 10th I’ve promised that I will to a FB Live and we can put the April and May kits together. In Fact I shared the contents of the March kit on my FB page Robbye Stamps and tomorrow, Saturday March 17th, on that page I’m doing a FB Live to let you watch me put it together. That way you’ll see just how easy it really is, so stop by so you can watch me.

Finally, I’ve told you my story and lets just be honest if you follow me you most likely follow other Stampin’ Up demonstrators too. If so you’ve read their stories about why they joined. Most of us joined for the discount, I mean who doesn’t like to get a quality product for a little less? I know I do and I’ll bet that you do as well. If you follow me you like to craft. Some of you like to sew or crochet or knit. Here’s an opportunity to try paper crafting, but you’re thinking along with that comes selling. I’ve already told you that over 90% of all demonstrators don’t do workshops or sell except to perhaps their friends with whom they craft. You get $125.00 worth of products, that you select, for $99.00.  Plus if you join during Sale-a-Bration you can choose two additional stamp sets and the whole thing comes to you with no shipping and handling charge. Demonstrators get a 20% discount on Stampin’ Up products, they see and can order all new products firstand can work toward great incentives like trips. Being part of Stampin’ Up works for all types of paper crafters. For the scrapbookers we have beautiful 12 X 12 designer series paper and cardstock that’s perfect for scrapbooking. Most importantly if you join and its not working for you or you just don’t like it you send an email to Stampin’ Up and simply say that. No one is going to try to pressure you into staying. So why not take a “Test Drive” by signing up. If you decide to quit you still have $125.00 worth of products to craft with. I would love for you to join in the fun of Stampin’ Up and I would love for you to join my team. There will be a link for you to join my team below. This link will soon have a permanent home here on my blog.

Well that’s it for me dumplings, have a fun-filled weekend,  Happy Saint Patrick’s Day tomorrow. Don’t forget my FB Live tomorrow at 1:00PM see how easy Paper Pumpkin is and then come back here and use the link to subscribe.

It’s Monday

Hello and happy Monday my dumplings. If you’re like me the Monday after the time switch wasn’t easy, but it gets better I promise. I’m happy that I’m still in a crafting, handmade card making state of mind. Billy Joel might be in a New York state of mind, but I’m in a Tutti-Frutti, Basket Weave, Layering Circles, Old Olive, Crumb Cake state of mind. See how I snuck in what I used as I listen to Mr. Joel. The card has a 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” base of Old Olive. I added a layer of 5” x 3 3/4” Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Basket Weave embossing folder. It was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals I adhered a 4 3/4” x 3 1/2” piece of Tutti-Frutti dsp to my Crumb Cake layer. I chose a sentiment from the Bubble Over stamp set that I stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Real Red ink. Using three of the dies from the Layering Circles Framelits dies and my Big Shot I cut out the sentiment and a circle in Real Red and Old Olive. I adhered the Whisper White circle to the Real Red and the Real Red to the Old Olive using mini glue dots. I adhered the Old Olive circle to the front of the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Let me know what you think in the comments section below because I’m more than a little pleased with the final product.

Now it’s time for business talk.

Sale-a-Bration is winding down which means your opportunity to get any of the awesome exclusive Sale-a-Bration items is also winding down. If you follow my blog you have already read about placing a qualifying order of $50.00 or more to get these items. When Sale-a-Bration ends the Panda Parade for example is gone bye bye forever.  A few items may carry over but they won’t be FREE with a qualifying order.  You know the drill you can check out the Sale-a-Bration brochures, yep there are two, thru my Online Store. You can also access the Annual and Occasions catalogs there as well. Place a qualifying order of items from one or both of those catalogs and pick out your free Sale-a-Bration item, easy peasy lemon squeeze.  Use the link below to my Online Store, don’t miss out.

I’ve told you why I joined Stampin’ Up. Just in case you forgot it was, like over 90% of all demonstrators, to save money on great, high quality products. I fell in love with their paper, the cardstock, the Designer Series Paper they all just blew me away. I loved the feel of it, so sturdy not flimsy like the paper at places I won’t name. There’s nothing wrong with those places and in a pinch when I can’t wait (I’m too cheap to use next day) I’ll pick up glue there, but not cardstock. But I digress, this is a great time to join during Sale-a-Bration you get two extra stamp sets that you get to pick and there’s no cap on how much they can cost. When you join you already get $125.00 worth of awesome Stampin’ Up products that you choose, no pre-selected by the company kit, for $99.00. You get 20% discount on all future offers. You get to see and order all new products first. You get to work towards great incentives. While all that was great, what has kept me with Stampin’ Up has been the many friendships that I’ve made. So whether you want to join and be one of the Top 100 in the World or you just want to sell to a few friends that you enjoy crafting with I promise you won’t regret joining. However if you find it’s not for you, then you can simply say that and use all your goodies to make beautiful items for your family and friends. Take a chance sign-up, plan to hang out with us in November at our 30th Anniversary OnStage Live Event in Orlando and I’ll bet you’ll be Stampin’ Up forever. Use the link below to join my team.

Finally, if you follow my blog you saw the update on the Fifth Anniversary Paper Pumpkin kit. So many people heeded the call and subscribed that it’s sold out. There will be no possibility of getting this kit not even a refill. The warehouse area where the March kits were is like Mother Hubbard’s cupboard, it’s bare, empty. There’s nothing there, nada. However don’t despair, go ahead and subscribe and use the promo code SAVEFIFTY0418 and if you’re a new subscriber you’ll get 50% off not just the April ( get it 04/18) kit but the May kit too. So for basically it’s, depending on your POV, either two for the price of one or buy one get one free. Either way you need to subscribe and you have to be a NEW subscriber.

Now you have links below for my Online Store, Paper Pumpkin and to join my team. Use one, or two, heck use all three. See you Wednesday

Feeling Fine

Happy fantastic Friday my sweet dumplings. I woke up today and I finally felt like stamping. I had a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and a pattern from the Tutti-Frutti dsp on my crafting table and I felt like doing more than ignoring it for once this week. I had pulled a piece of Real Red cardstock on Wednesday thinking that might get me in a crafting mood, but it didn’t. Well today looking at it the pieces just clicked. So I pulled my ink and stamp set off the shelf and got to work. Here’s the resulting card.

08886561-8B4A-438B-9CC9-EFC746739650I have a Real Red card base that 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. I layered a 5”x 3 3/4” piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with a 4 3/4” x 3 1/2” piece of Tutti-Frutti dsp. That attached to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals. Then I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to cut a circle from Whisper White cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink. The sentiment, the bowl and the strawberries are all from the Fruit Basket stamp set. I stamped the bowl using Basic Black Ink onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and fussy cut it out. I used the strawberry mini-punch to punch out the strawberries that I stamped in Real Red with a Lemon Lime Twist stem. I used Snail to adhere the bowl and Tombow Multi-purpose Glue to adhere the strawberries. I think you’ll like this card as much as I do.

I’ve shown you how awesome Paper Pumpkin is and explained you can get 30 minutes of relaxing stress relieving for around $20.00/month. I’ve explained if you try it and don’t like it you can simply call or email and cancel. To sweeten the deal because it’s the 5th anniversary of Paper Pumpkin Stampin’ Up is including a special gift. What else do I need to do to get you to TRY IT ??? You need to subscribe by March 10th, that’s TOMORROW people! Don’t miss out on this extra special Paper Pumpkin kit. After March 10th if you subscribe you’ll get the April kit, while I’m sure that kit will be great, there’s no anniversary box or special gift. Come on people you spend more than $20.00/ month at Starbucks. Click the Paper Pumpkin link and subscribe and I’ll do a Facebook Live putting my kit together.

Now while the opportunity to get the special anniversary Paper Pumpkin kit ends mañana, stampin’ Up’s Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st. There are two levels of exclusive stamp sets and other goodies. Place a qualifying order of $50.00 or more (but less than $100.00) and you get to pick a Level 1 gift. Place a qualifying order of $100.00 or more (but less than $150.00) and you get to pick either two Level 1 gifts or one Level 2 gift. The clock is ticking down, sooner than you think these exclusive stamp sets, kits and designer series papers will be gone. You can access both the Annual and Occasions catalogs as well as both Sale-a-Bration brochures thru my Online Store by simply clicking the link below.

C755ACBF-4B27-4EFE-B2A5-FB8EEFFB853DFinally, I’ve told you my Stampin’ Up story. I signed up as a demonstrator to get a discount on high quality products plain and simple, but got so much more. I have made friends that I never would have met otherwise. I was once part of the “But I’m not crafty” club, but Stampin’ Up has helped me discover that yes I am crafty. Not only am I crafty but I can make really beautiful projects that I’m proud to send to my friends and family.  The best thing is you can try it and if you don’t like it, you can quit with no hard feelings or obligations. For $99.00 you get to pick $125.00 worth of products. That’s right you pick what you want, there’s no pre-selected kit and you get to keep it if you decide it’s not for you. Plus during Sale-a-Bration Stampin’ Up let’s you pick two additional stamp sets as a sort of welcome gift. If you enjoy paper crafting and making home decor pieces Stampin’ Up just might be for you. Best of all if it’s not nobody is going to bug you about leaving. However here’s a fact for you to mull over while you decide. Over 90% of all Stampin’ Up demonstrators are Hobby demonstrators. They don’t hold workshops or classes. They might sell to friends that they craft with, but basically they joined because they love the products and demonstrators get them at a discount, they get to see and purchase new products before the general public does, and they get to attend special Stampin’ Up events. Sale-a-Bration is the best time to join. Take a “Test Drive” if it’s not for you, a simple email to Stampin’ Up and you’re no longer a demonstrator, but you’ve got $125.00 worth of great products plus two additional stamp sets. Take a chance there’s no way you’ll regret at least trying. Just use the Join my Team link below.

That’s it for me dumplings, now don’t forget.

1. Use the link and check out the catalogs and the Sale-a-Bration brochures via my Online store

2. Subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, do it NOW. If you don’t find completing that special March anniversary kit fun, simply cancel your subscription.

3. Give serious thought to taking a “ Test Drive” as a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. I wasn’t sorry and I don’t think you’ll be either.

Well my sweet dumplings that’s all from me for today. Have an awesome weekend and . . .

Happy Monday my sweet dumplings, I have every hope that you’re starting your week off in good spirits.  That being said I have some news that I have hinted at, but not explained primarily because Miss Hammie isn’t a “share-er”, one who shares however you say that. Anywho, Miss Hammie already told you that her doctor saw some things she didn’t like and made suggestions Miss Hammie didn’t like. So then Miss Hammie went to see a nutritionist who studied the information from the doctor and she wasn’t any happier than the doctor and put Miss Hammie on a “Nothing Miss Hammie likes” diet. This is all old news to you dumplings, right? What I didn’t share was that there could be some pretty dire consequences if Miss Hammie doesn’t get this right. I spent part of Thursday and a major part of Friday grocery shopping which now includes reading labels for not only ingredients, but levels related to the daily values of fats, sodium etc. Scouring aisles looking for something, anything that flavor-wise will resemble some of the treats I’ve been “advised” not to eat at all or like cookies have been severely limited. I ask you dumplings who eats one cookie a day!  I had finally gotten to a point where I was satisfied with “Sugar in the Raw” now it’s Stevia or nothing and she would prefer nothing. Dumplings my downfalls have always been sweet and salty, especially salty.  The long and the short of it my dear sweet dumplings is I’m going to be AWOL for a bit while I adjust to eating a very close to all plant-based diet. I say close because I know myself and I may cheat once or twice. However I believe with an internal stern talking to myself about pitfalls and consequences that I can do it and get my numbers where they need to be. I will be posting projects and anyone that follows me will get a notification. The truth is I believe if I give myself a couple of weeks that I’ll be in the right headspace to deal with where I am right now.

Don’t forget that Sale-a-Bration ends the 31st of March please don’t miss out on some beautiful exclusive products from Stampin’ Up. I don’t know about you, but between the Annual and Occasions catalog I can order $50.00 worth of products without blinking an eye.  For example are you fond, or in love with, the 2016-2018 InColors? Those would be Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum. Well they’re going away, so if you love them you would be wise to order them now. That includes cardstock, ink pads, Stampin’ Write markers and re-inkers. Need a new stamp set for Easter and saw the perfect one in the Occasions catalog. Between those items alone you’ve probably qualified for an exclusive Sale-a-Bration item.

If you need catalogs contact me, I’m more than happy to send you one of both active catalogs and the Sale-a-Bration brochures. They can also be access thru my online store.

There’s still time, but not a lot of it, to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and receive the extra special limited anniversary edition that contains a special gift. Just do it by March 10th. These kits are all inclusive you might need a pair of scissors. Most kits can be completed in about 30 minutes. They are a great way to introduce your children or grandchildren to crafting and spending quiet time in these hectic go, go, go times we live in. The cost is about $20.00/month or you can sign up for a 3, 6, or 12 month prepaid subscription. If you try it and don’t like it just cancel, it’s that easy.

Finally, have you ever considered signing up to be a Stampin’ Up demonstrator? Now is the very best time as you get to pick two extra stamp sets from either catalog to add to your starter kit and they’re free, a gift from Stampin’ Up. Your starter kit,or Ultimate Bundle as our team calls it, consists of $125.00 worth of Stampin’ Up products that you select and you only pay $99.00 for it. That’s not always the case with direct sales. You also receive various business supplies like order forms etc. When you sign up you get a 20% discount on future orders. The important thing is it’s your business to run pretty much the way you want. I know the apprehension that you’re feeling, I felt it too. Here’s a fact that might help over 90% of all Stampin’ Up demonstrators are what are called Hobby demonstrators. They don’t have workshops/parties. They joined because they love the products and getting them at a 20% discount, being able to see and order new products first appealed to them. Now they may sell to their friends that they craft with but that’s it. If you don’t like selling then you don’t have to. Another really great thing is you’re under no obligation to stay, if you try it and don’t like it simply email Stampin’ Up and that’s it. There’s no penalty, no fee to leave. It’s like any other job, if it’s not the right fit, you leave.

I’m adding some links below to my Online Store where you can access catalogs and place orders, to Paper Pumpkin where you can subscribe (do it by 3/31/18, it’s just $20.00) and to join my team. I’m hoping to pop in again this week. Love ya bunches dumplings.
