A Promise is a Promise

I can hardly believe the week that I’ve had. First there was the Global Design Project Challenge, man did I ever sweat bullets over that one. Then two days later it was my team, the InKing Royals, blog hop. Talk about pressure, it was my first time doing either a challenge or a blog hop.  However as my title says “A Promise is a Promise” and I gave my word that in an attempt to do better about blogging that I would post three days per week. No pressure, right? WRONG !!! Lots of pressure from myself, I can’t not post three times the first week out of the blocks, so to speak. To be honest I spent the Thursday morning decompressing, taking a flying leap out of your comfort zone is really frightening. I went by the library to register for a class and try to reserve their meeting room before September 10th, more on that later. I started listing in my head the things I would have to get done on Friday because I was going to have to hit the ground running Saturday. Then it hit me, “Hey Brillantyne, you said you were going to post on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, tomorrow is Friday”. So I spent most of Thursday afternoon trying to come up with an idea for a card. I knew that I would have to get the card completed and the blog post written and published if I didn’t want to feel like I had failed to keep my word, if only to myself.  Nothing came to me, nothing. So I decided to look for inspiration on YouTube and taa-daa, the Double Gate Fold, thank you Dawn Griffith (a phenomenal Stampin’ Up demonstrator) for the inspiration and instructions. I think it turned out pretty well and I hope that you’ll like it.
