Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! There are so many ways to say, “Thank you!” – today’s blog hop is filled with projects that share our gratitude. Stampin’ Up!’s catalogs (both the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog) are filled with so many fun products that help us show our gratitude – and we are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
When I saw what the theme for this month’s Blog Hop was I knew I would participate. Let me explain why my participation was a tad questionable. I participated in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop about two months ago. I have no problem saying it was the most nerve wracking, nail biting experience of my crafting life. I’m my own biggest critic and I’m never quite satisfied. Add to that the fact that the InKing Royalty Team is made up of some of the most talented and creative people I’ve ever met. They’re also extremely supportive and encourage me to share and to hop along with them. So here goes.
I’ve discovered one of my favorite fun folds is the Z-fold and my favorite type of Z-fold is the Upright Z-fold, which is what I made.
My card was made from Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Whisper White cardstock. The Fresh Fig was trimmed to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 in the 11 inch edge.
I layered a 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 inch piece of Whisper White on a piece of 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 inch Crushed Curry. This was adhered to the front and it’s where my sentiment from the Hug in a Mug stamp set was stamped. I stamped two little hearts from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and fussy cut them. Then I added them to my sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the easel effect I added a piece of Fresh Fig trimmed to 5 x 3 3/4 inches. This piece is adhered to the front and you layer the sentiment over it. The large cut out heart was created with the large die from the Bloomin’ Heart thinlits dies set from Crushed Curry. I chose this to complement my sentiment, “You Warm My Heart”. Normally I would have added dsp on the back, but I was afraid it wouldn’t play well with the heart. I added one of the Faceted Gems in gold to secure the top when you stand the card up.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop
