Hello my sweet dumplings and a very Happy Monday to you all. I know that I have been MIA and I apologize. Sometimes as I’m sure you all know your offline life has to take precedence over your online life. I really hope that you all were able to take advantage of the awesomeness that is Sale-a-Bration and score some really lovely goodies. Personally Miss Hammie placed an order quite late on the very last day and score some lovely dsp. I haven’t been doing a lot of crafting as I haven’t felt 100% and I had quite a few things to cross off of my to do list. However I did manage to make a birthday card for Miss Hammie’s Older Sister who celebrated her birthday on Friday. I even managed to squeeze in baking her a cake. Miss Hammie’s Younger Sister and I trekked to Older Sister’s house on Friday to wish her a Happy Birthday and boy was it crowded at her place. Miss Hammie’s Nephew and Niece were there along with Miss Hammie’s Grandniece and Miss Hammie’s Brother in Law. I can honestly say that I believe Older Sister was feeling really special with all the attention. Believe it or not she seemed more interested in the Notre Dame vs UConn game than anything else that was happening, lol. Miss Hammie understands completely it was a great game the back and forth and that next to last second tie breaker shot. The screaming took Miss Hammie back to how her father would yell at the TV when he watched sports. I digress, here’s the card that I made Older Sister and she really liked it. I made it using a stamp set that I was able to get with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration. I hope even if you didn’t buy thru me that my sweet dumplings managed to get a few stamp sets during Sale-a-Bration. For the card I used Whisper White cardstock, Thick Whisper White for the cardbase and regular Whisper White for the top layer. I used a piece of Basic Black cardstock for the second layer that I attached to the cardbase with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the image from Party Pandas in Basic Black Ink and color the balloon on the front of the card and the party hat on the inside of the card with a Real Red Stampin’ Write marker. I attached that top layer to the Basic Black layer with Multi-Purpose liquid glue. Here’s a bit of a disclaimer. I didn’t photograph the card at my house, I did it at Older Sister’s and the lighting wasn’t the best. However the most important thing is that Older Sister liked both of my small offerings and we had a nice long visit. We don’t get to visit quite as often as Miss Hammie would like because even though technically Older Sister lives in “Metropolitan Atlanta” its still a bit of a trek to get to where she lives from where Miss Hammie lives in the “City of Atlanta”. Metropolitan Atlanta encompasses several counties. That’s right my sweet dumplings Miss Hammie said counties. Miss Hammie lives in Fulton and Older Sister lives in Gwinnett, which as I said before is a bit of a trek. Anywho here’s her card.
I decided not to bore you with any business today, but on Wednesday when I see you again I’m going to take up the Paper Pumpkin refrain once again. Who knows if I can figure out how to do it I may even post a video of Miss Hammie putting a card or two together. Anyway my little dumplings have a Terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you on Wacky Wednesday. TTFN
Such a cute card, Robbye! Goes to show how clean-and-simple can be so striking! Love the pop of red in the, otherwise, black-and-white card.
